Lancôme Hypnose Star Waterproof mascara is such a cult product in the beauty world.  I never understood the love for it until I experienced it myself.  First, let me tell you what I look like at the end of the day without any touch-ups: like a panda.  My skin around my eyes is pretty oily and does a great job of breaking down some of the beauty world’s favorite waterproof mascaras and eyeliners.

This mascara lasts all day with 12+ hours of wear and even through a sweaty workout.  I tested this wearing only some eye shadow and no liner to determine if the smudging and how well my curl lasted.  And I have to say at the end of the day, it looks amazing.  I even sweated in it during my workout, which resulted in a very small bit of smudging under my eyes, but nothing that couldn’t easily be rectified with a q-tip.

In summary what I love about this mascara is:

• you can build your lashes up to an almost falsies effect
• there is no clumping
• it lasts all day
• you can sweat in it

The only downside I had with this is the removal.  It requires a proper makeup remover and I also use an oil makeup cleanser to remove any excess.
