London Eats | PITTCUE

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my thoughts on a place to eat in London and what better way to catch up with good friends over gourmet BBQ!  After we did a bit of indoor rock climbing we were all definitely ready for some drinks and grub.

Pittque is located a quick walk from Liverpool Street Station and around the corner from Duck & Waffle.  I really enjoyed the very large space with an industrial vibe and an open kitchen in the back for a little show.

It was a relatively cold and quite Tuesday night, but we made a booking in advanced anyways.

They seem to have a large daily specials menu item as well as a more consistent normal menu.  As we all wanted to try a bit of everything, we ordered a bunch of starters, mains, and sides to just pass around and share.  Everything came really beautifully platted and really nicely flavoured.

I’m normally not an huge fan of innards, but we had ordered some heart as an appetiser  and I was pleasantly surprised!  My favourites were definitely the 2 dishes with bone marrow in it (mash and bread-type dishes)…YUM!

All the food was delicious and had this wonderful smokiness to it that I really enjoyed.  But of course we had to finish up our meal with some dessert!  Not too sweet and each had a side of ice cream that just hit the spot for me.

I highly recommend trying this place out if you are looking for a delicious protein heavy meal and cool ambiance.  Definitely a place I would hit up again to try out more of their specials.
