I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this since I saw all the YouTubers rave about it, and I finally caved in when I saw it at Heathrow airport DutyFree on my way back to the states. Spoiler alert: it was completely worth the splurge and has become my go-to everyday colour.
Let’s start with the packaging. In true Burberry fashion the cover is designed with its iconic checkered pattern, which is also repeated on the eyeshadow itself. It is quite weighted which also gives it a more luxurious feeling (given it’s price tag…)
As the product name suggests, the shadow is silky smooth while giving excellent colour payoff and blend-ability. I mostly use this as an all over the lid colour on minimal makeup days and the lasting power is pretty decent on my given that most things fade/crease on me even with primer. This shadow can be used wet or dry and using it wet it intensifies the colour, but maintains its lovely texture.
Although the colour pale barley isn’t the most exciting, it is perfect for daily use on its own. It has a slight shimmer to it and is a perfect colour to give your lid a wash of something without being too loud.
